Sea and Sky in Acrylics Book Launch at the Bournemouth TIC

This is the launch event of my latest “how to paint in acrylics” book which is published worldwide from September 2015. It is based at the ex Tourist Information Centre in Bournemouth in Westover Road just down from the Pavilion Theatre. The event is from the 8th – 20th September and consists of an exhibition of the original paintings, sale of the book, prints and greetings cards and me demonstrating on the 11th and 18th September.

Most of the paintings you will see at this exhibition are represented in the book. The sea and sky are always moving, ever changing and therefore generate a fascination in their image that you could take a lifetime trying to capture in paint and probably only achieve a small distance as part of a very long journey. So the book helps to shorten your painting journey with illustrations, demonstrations and projects. The image inspiration for this book and this exhibition is taken from this area, from the Solent and Isle of Wight to Christchurch, Bournemouth (and Poole!) bays. You will find some familiar and less familiar places but I hope you will find form, colour and delight in the images that are represented.

  1. Congratulations, launch and exhibition extended to a third week, how fantastic. Only sorry I was unable to travel South and go to the exhibition as planned. However, am lucky to be able to have my own seascape painted by yourself very soon. 😀
